Key Responsibilities of a Complaints Liaison Officer (CLO):
Receiving and Logging Complaints:
- CLOs typically receive complaints from various sources, such as Website online forms, phone calls, or in-person visits, and record them accurately.
Investigating Complaints:
- CLOs may conduct their own investigations, collect evidence, and gather information from involved parties to understand the nature of the complaint.
Communicating with Complainants:
- CLOs keep complainants informed about the status of their complaint and provide updates throughout the investigation process.
Resolving Complaints:
- CLOs strive to resolve complaints in a timely and fair manner, often by mediating discussions between the complainant and the LEA's.
Following Up:
- CLOs ensure that complaints are resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant and that appropriate actions have been taken to address the issues raised.
Acting as a Liaison:
- CLOs serve as a bridge between complainants and the concerned organization, ensuring effective communication and understanding between both parties.
Ensuring Compliance:
- CLOs record all complaints and related record to comply with relevant regulations and policies regarding complaint handling.
